Three years ago, the Gallery Walk brought a new way to spend an evening in St. George City’s “arts district,” a three-block section of historic downtown that includes the St. George Art Museum, fine art galleries, and Art Around The Corner’s outdoor sculpture exhibit. On Friday, October 7, this arts district will again host a glamorous evening of fine art and music, and the chance to win prizes and a piece of original fine artwork by a local artist.
To participate in the Gallery Walk, begin at the St. George Art Museum, located at 48 East 200 North, from 6:00 to 9:00pm October 7. Admission is waived the evening of the Gallery Walk. Make sure to pick up a free “punch card” at the Art Museum that is marked at each gallery attended. Then, visit each of ten fine art destinations, enjoying a variety of live music, unique artwork, and the opportunity to meet many local professional artists. Turn in the punch card at Twenty-Five Main Café before 9:00pm, when a drawing will be held for the piece of artwork. Participating galleries include Bedard Studio and Gallery, Authentique Gallery, Impressions Studios and Fine Art Gallery, The Mission Gallery, Split Rock Designs Gallery, Twiggs & Moore Gallery, A Blue Sky Gallery located inside Print It, Wide Angle Photography, Sunset Frame and Gallery. A variety of musicians from string quartet to guitar to singer-songwriter will entertain.
The Fall Gallery Walk is supported in part by the City of St. George via the St. George Arts Commission, and the Washington County Tourism and Convention Bureau.
