Ceramics by Stephen Craig Kent
Stephen Craig Kent is our youngest featured artist at the Gallery Walk this year. Graduating from ocal Pine View High School in 2007, Kent is currently taking pottery courses from instructors at Dixie State College. Some of his works are collaborations between himself and veteran painter/ceramist Gian Ferrari. Others, like the drum featured at left, are his own creations. He writes:
“My motivation comes from functional pottery; it’s nice to know that your
work is being used. I’m also motivated by music, and like to make doumbek
drums.”
